Steven Spielberg has conquered Hollywood. From lovable aliens to adventurous globe trotting heroes, he's brought it all to the silver screen, creating many of Hollywood's greatest characters and most frightening moments.
But the king of Hollywood has a tiny secret. It seems that he's deathly afraid of heights. As a creative consultant for Universal Theme Parks, this is quite a handicap. One of the rides based on one of his biggest hits even has a steep drop.
So how does Mr. Spielberg experience the ride if he doesn't like heights or drops? Well, being the creative director of Universal Studios Theme Parks has its privileges. Mr. Spielberg enjoys the ride up until the big drop. The ride operators then do a "Spielberg Stop" so that Steven can exit the boat. The ride is then restarted so the other guests can enjoy the thrilling finale while Mr. Spielberg takes the chicken exit.
